MIST Instructors Participate in i-Rank Advancing Global Competitiveness

October 28, 2025 – The Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) actively participated in the i-Rank Advancing Global Competitiveness program held at the Phela Grande Hotel, General Santos City. This two-day event featured an intensive coaching and mentoring program focused on international academic rankings, institutional benchmarking, and global performance indicators aimed at elevating higher education institutions to world-class standards.

Representing MIST were two of its dynamic and committed instructors, Jerry Paulo S. Oriente, MIM, and Aldren M. Barcebal, MIT, who engaged in strategic learning sessions designed to strengthen institutional visibility, innovation, and international collaboration.

Participation in this initiative underscores MIST’s dedication to academic excellence and continuous improvement. By joining programs like i-Rank, MIST takes significant steps toward enhancing its global standing, developing world-ready graduates, and aligning its academic practices with international standards—ultimately contributing to the institution’s long-term vision of becoming a globally competitive center of excellence in science and technology.

A graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from the University of Southern Mindanao, she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Education major in English at the Immaculate Conception, Davao City.
