MIST Faculty Participate in the Certified Organization Advisers of the Philippines 2026 – Mindanao Leg

Koronadal City, South Cotabato—Two faculty members from Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) proudly participated in the Certified Organization Advisers of the Philippines (COAP) 2026–Mindanao Leg held on February 12–13, 2026, at Notre Dame of Marbel University.

Representing MIST were Mr. Rodel James M. Nasis, LPT, MAED-Math, Student Council Adviser, and Ms. Annalejune A. Nedamo, LPT, MAED, Director of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). Both faculty members are recognized as Certified Organization Advisers of the Philippines, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening student leadership, governance, and organizational development in higher education institutions.

The two-day event gathered student affairs practitioners and organization advisers from across Mindanao to enhance competencies in leadership formation, policy development, ethical governance, and student engagement. The certification program aims to professionalize the role of organization advisers and ensure quality guidance for student organizations nationwide.

As part of their professional advancement, Mr. Nasis and Ms. Nedamo will complete the remaining requirements of the program and are expected to graduate in Baguio City, Philippines, marking another milestone in their dedication to student development and institutional excellence.

Their participation reflects MIST’s strong commitment to advancing student services and empowering campus organizations through competent and certified advisers.

Grace Dayaday, LPT

A graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from the University of Southern Mindanao, she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Education major in English at the Immaculate Conception, Davao City. She also serves as a dedicated teacher at the Makilala Institute of Science and Technology, where she continues to uphold excellence in teaching and contribute to students’ growth.
