Makilala, Cotabato — The Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), through its Criminology Department, once again demonstrated academic excellence after earning two prestigious recognitions from Philippine Council of Academic and Professional Criminologists (PCAP) Region XII for its outstanding performance in the February 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination.
MIST secured a place among the Top 8 Performing Schools in Region XII, achieving an impressive 79.50% passing rate (128 out of 161 first-time takers). This distinction highlights the institution’s consistent commitment to producing competent and highly qualified criminology graduates.
In addition, MIST surpassed national standards by receiving the Above National Passing Percentage Award, recording an overall passing rate of 79.27% (130 out of 164 examinees)—a significant achievement that reflects both the quality of instruction and the dedication of its students.
