MIST Holds Turnover Ceremony for New Two-Storey, Six-Classroom Multi-Purpose Building

January 12, 2026 — The Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) held a turnover ceremony for its newly constructed two-storey, six-classroom multi-purpose building.

The ceremony was graced by Hon. Congressman Rudy S. Caoagdan, DPA, who delivered an inspirational message emphasizing his dedication, service, and commitment to the continuous development of MIST. Dr. Gerardo A. Rigonan, MIST president, likewise expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the individuals and agencies whose support made the project possible.

Special acknowledgment was extended to Hon. Congressman Rudy S. Caoagdan, DPA; Hon. Mayor Armando M. Quibod; and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cotabato 2nd Engineering District, led by Engr. Eliseo L. Otoc, MPA, District Engineer; Engr. Joevil J. Ramirez, Assistant District Engineer; Engr. Antonio M. Ticong, Project Engineer; Engr. Bianca Monique Lapined, Resident Engineer; and Engr. Cloy Jemar Audan of Equicon Engineering Services.

The institution also expressed its appreciation to Hon. Rey Cayare, Barangay Captain of Concepcion, Makilala, for his presence and support. The program concluded with a solemn blessing of the newly constructed facility, led by Rev. Fr. Ramil G. Angulo, DCK.

With the opening of these new classrooms, MIST once again opens its doors to learning, growth, and opportunity. The facility stands as a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to quality education and to building a brighter future for its students and the community.
